Waste Connections of Rhode Island is looking for a safety conscious
Equipment Operator/Laborer to join our transfer statione in Portsmouth, RI.

Pay rate:
$21.00 to $22.00 per hour - 50-55 hours per week, Overtime Eligible

Schedule:
Sunday and Wednesday off
Monday/Friday/ Saturday - 7am to 4pm
Tuesday/Thursday - 7am to 7pm

Operating equipment such as: skid steers and backhoes.Checking trucks in and out of the transfer station and directing traffic at site as necessary.Manual labor including paper picking, keeping landfill clean and presentable.Perform yard work including cutting weeds.Install temporary wind fences as required.Perform general office maintenance and repairs including painting and janitorial work.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedPromoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.Interacting with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine safe and environmentally sound solutions to service issues.

What we need from you:

One year of stable employment history in a similar environment.2B Hoisting License or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.Ability to work schedule in all weather conditionsAbility to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
