Laborer General position in Surveys will assist Transportation Series employees in performing routine survey activities so that project needs are met.
**Minimum Qualifications**
To qualify, Laborer General applicants must meet all the following:
+ **Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in survey work sufficient to carry out detailed work directions.**
+ **Ability to perform heavy manual labor work sufficient to complete assignments.**
+ **Strength and agility necessary to bend, lift, dig, reach, and load heavy materials.**
+ **Endurance necessary to perform indoor and outdoor tasks under extreme environmental conditions, such as heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.**
+ Valid Class D Driver's License.
+ **Ability to understand and follow verbal directions sufficient to interpret, communicate and carry out verbal assignments in a safe and efficient manner.**
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Previous MnDOT experience working as a Laborer, Transportation Associate or Transportation Generalist.
+ Survey or mapping experience.
+ Experience using basic hand tools.
+ Knowledge of Trimble data collectors, Total Stations, and GPS receivers.
**Physical Requirements**
**Pre-Employment Physical Exam:** A pre-placement physical examination is required for this position.
