Position Summary:

Reporting to the Project Manager or Supervisor, the Laborer is responsible for performing work-related opportunities that allow people who have different abilities to work with integrated teams and receive work support and development as needed—achieving the highest level of independence possible.

Schedule: $17.20 Hr. - AM Shift, Paid Federal & Holidays OFF, must be available for "On Call Snow Removal"Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:30 (Summer Hours may different) Scott air Force Base - Mascoutah, ILThis is an ideal position for an individual with a documented disability.Veteran's Welcome

Typical Duties:

Performs grounds maintenance and landscaping duties at the assigned site.Mows, trims, edges and blows/sweeps grass using mowers, trimmers, edgers and blowers.May be assigned to plant sod, shrubs, flowers, trees and/or landscape materials like blocks, pavers, and rock. Includes pruning, raking, applying, or removing mulch and watering.Safely operates equipment and helps perform minor maintenance of filing fluids, greasing, cleaning, replacing string or sharpening blades.May be assigned to drive Company vehicles or small riding mowers, transport, load and unload equipment and supplies.Contributes to teamwork by training and helping co-workers, communicating needs to the supervisor, and implementing feedback for improvement.Continually performs duties with a special focus on safety, quality, and customer service.Removes snow including shoveling, spreading ice melt, ice chipping/scraping, and use of a snow blower or other snow removal equipment.

Requirements:

Must pass criminal background check. Must pass various State and Federal registry checks. Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check.Preferred: pass driving history check and Company policy criteria. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and be 21 or older to drive.Frequently standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and twisting while mowing, trimming, blowing, raking, pruning, planting, and performing other related grounds maintenance duties. Company travel using a personal insured vehicle is not required.On call for snow removal
