Mitie is seeking to appoint a site Labourer for a position in Plymouth. Applicants should have previous site experience and must have their own transport (a fuel allowance will be provided). The primary responsibilities of the role include unloading and delivering materials, passing delivery notes to the site manager or relevant personnel, working alongside other site operatives, and preparing materials for installation. The labourer will also be required to lift and move various materials, including glass, PVC, paints, kitchen units, and plasterboard, using proper manual handling techniques and trolley aids. Additional tasks will include helping with the lifting of plasterboard and other items, removing old kitchen units and assisting with disposal, and removing existing concrete larders and walls. The role also involves cleaning the office and store twice a week.

Applicants must possess physical strength and endurance, have their own transport, and demonstrate a strong work ethic with a good attitude toward health and safety. The ability to follow instructions, a willingness to learn new skills, and good communication skills are essential. The successful candidate must be reliable, able to work both independently and as part of a team. Ideally, applicants should already have full personal protective equipment (steel toe-cap boots, hi-vis vest, and a hard hat) and be able to provide a reference verifying experience in a similar role.
