Business Need / Purpose of Role:


Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, the role of Skilled Laborer is responsible for performing all general duties associated with handling of materials and tooling to support the operational aspects of the service center and pattern shop in an accurate, timely, safe, and cost-efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.


Objectives & Measurement
Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities:

Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections, making operator repairs.Pulling, organizing, and preparation of pattern equipment.Load/unload trucks, inside and outside, using pallet jacks, powered industrial trucks or overhead jib cranes, in a manner preventing damage and in compliance with good safety practices. Perform daily maintenance and housekeeping of equipment and work areas including all designated distribution storage locations.Submit recommendations with respect to improvements essential to effective operations.Properly prepare product being shipped, whether packaged in box, on a skid, or in a crate based on size, bulk, and quantity, keeping in mind safety, weight, size, potential damage, and customer domestic/export requirements.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.



Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Two years shipping, receiving, and material handling experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment.Requires a valid driver’s license.License in Forklift Driving would be an asset.
