We are looking for energetic, dependable and safety orientated labourers to join our Maintenance team at Baseplant, Fort McMurray. Reporting to the team leader, you will provide support to the maintenance shop within our mine equipment maintenance area. This is a high functioning position where communication is key to ensure daily assigned work is completed in a safe and timely manner.Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience in mining or an industrial work environment
Completed forklift training
Completed OSSA and CSTS training
A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
A valid driver's licence and a clean driving record
Key Accountabilities:
Follow all processes and procedures to ensure the safety of our people, equipment and the environment
Move and stock supplies and materials
Clean parts and equipment for return to warehouse using hotsy wands and shop chemicals
Utilize a forklift when required
Assist with housekeeping duties
Complete general maintenance duties as required
Clean mobile equipment as needed
Working Conditions
You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta
The shift schedule is a six days on/six days off rotation (three days on, three days off, three nights on, three nights off; 12-hour shifts)
You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use of ladders and working on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined
