Job Description

Reporting to the production supervisor, the incumbent receives different types of metals, performs an initial classification, and directs them to the appropriate locations.

Responsibilities:

Greet customers courteously while following our procedures and requirementsAssist in unloading materialsSort different metals according to their characteristicsInspect customer metalsIdentify the correct type of metal for each product and validate its qualityWeigh metals on the scaleEnter data into the RECY softwareOperate various types of machinery (e.g., forklift)Prepare receiving/shipping ticketsMaintain cleanliness in the workplacePerform any other related tasks

Qualifications1 to 3 years of experience in a similar positionKnowledge of metal recycling (a major asset)Forklift experience (a major asset) – training provided on-siteBilingualism (an asset)Demonstrate a professional and safety-conscious attitudeVersatile and resourcefulAbility to work well in a team environmentStrong priority management skillsProvide excellent customer service
