Join our client on a long-term project in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where you’ll be part of a dedicated team working in a well-supported environment. Our client has been building vessels for over 50 years and has been at the forefront of Canadian shipbuilding for over 130 years.
We are looking for a skilled Labourer to join our clients team.
What You Will Receive: Competitive Wage - $35 / hour Monday to Friday schedule Amazing Day Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm) Comprehensive Benefits after probation (medical, dental, vision, life insurance & more) Weekly pay period Additional overtime offered
What You’ll Do: General cleaning of shops, facilities, and project areas as needed. Assisting with setup for vessel or shop work. Preparing and applying coatings. Supporting care and preservation tasks, including fire watch and confined watch duties. Helping with docking and undocking of vessels. Surface preparation and coating, including solvent cleaning, hand tool cleaning, and power tool cleaning to bare metal.
What You Need: Completion of a pre-employment Government Security Clearance/background check. Full PPE, including a fit-tested respirator mask (compensation provided for the fit test). Safety certifications in Fall Protection, WHMIS, and Confined Space.
