Essential Responsibilities:
Perform tasks on the labour crew to support pipeline maintenance operations. These tasks include but are not limited to hand digging of hotlines, removal of existing coating on pipeline, operating sandblasting units, site set-up, setting-up hoarding/fencing, using hand tools, and small machines.Loading and unloading construction materials and equipment for transport to work locationsActing as a spotter for trucks and other heavy equipmentProvide general clean up and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of work areaEnsures that work is completed within deadlinesMust be flexible with duties to support project requirementsQualifications:
Individuals for this role may be considered based on the following criteria:
2-3 years of direct field labour experience within the pipeline maintenance field, specifically in the Integrity programHands on experience as it relates to completing physical tasks on siteFamiliarity with working in/around large industrial equipmentPrevious experience working within a large organization and actively participating in daily toolbox discussionsCompleting Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA) while on siteWorking within Oil & Gas industry an assetWork Capabilities
Must be capable of lifting up to 50lbsMust successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testingMust have and maintain a class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver's abstractWilling to obtain TDG, Defensive Driving, First Aid Level C, and WHMIS certificationsWork Conditions:
Project based in various locations across OntarioTravel often to support maintenance activities in various locations across Ontario. Overnight stays away from home are required.Modified work schedule - 9 days on/5 days off – Subject to overtime, extended works hours and work weeks as needed.Living Out Allowance providedBenefits provided by CLACWork will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditionsAdditional Information
