Labourer Summer Student

 

A Day in the Life:

Reporting to the Refinery Manager, the Summer Student Labourer will perform various general labour duties, including painting, cleaning, manual labour, and yard work.

This is a temporary, full-time position for the summer.

The successful candidate must be available to work in all weather conditions and commit to the full duration of the term.

 

Position Details:

Work Schedule: 7am-3:30pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break Monday-Friday Hourly Pay Rate: $24.94

 

Core Functions:

Adhere to all Bunge safety policies and procedures. Paint various surfaces inside and outside the facility, as required. Perform general clean-up and housekeeping tasks in all areas of the facility, both indoors and outdoors. Maintain the grounds and perform yard work, including mowing, trimming, and weeding. Assist with other duties as assigned by the Refinery Manager or other designated personnel.

 

Skill/Experience Requirements:

Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution and returning to school full-time in the fall. Must be at least 18 years of age. Completion of Grade 12 or GED is preferred. Previous industrial or general labour experience is an asset. Good mechanical aptitude and ability to use various hand and power tools safely and effectively. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work at heights and in a physically demanding environment. Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality. Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
