LAC A&H Pricing Actuarial Specialist
Objective The goal of this position is to lead the LAC Accident and Health (A&H) actuarial work, interacting with LAC UW team to understand and prioritize requests, and work together with the other LAC and global pricing actuaries to provide pricing and portfolio analysis, transforming them into actionable insights for the UW team, allowing them to grow profitability. Mainly activities + Lead LAC A&H pricing activities , and perform the work together with Mexico PI team, Ecuador Pricing team, Brazil external company and Global A&H actuarial team, establishing connections among countries through reporting and the exchange of best practices. + Pricing for A&H new products/special business cases + Perform portfolio analysis and transform this into actionable insights for the UW managers + Perform Rate Level Indications/raters updates + Lead Rebaseline and Budget LR process for A&H LAC + Review and challenge the Brazil external provider work for pricing and technical notes. + Effectively communicate with Management presenting results, strategies, and concerns. + Continuously strive for practices improvement (Data Development, Risk Modelling, Reporting, etc) Skills + Actuarial Science degree + Strong problem-solving abilities. + A&H products pricing experience (Auto and Personal Property is also valuable) + Strong communication abilities (English written and spoken) + Strong programming techniques and capabilities (Python, SQL, SAS) + Strong capability to transform KPIs in business insights/conclusions/ideas. + Database Management Reimagining insurance to make a bigger difference to the world American International Group, Inc.
