Position Overview:
The Lacquer Spray Machine (LSM) Operator ensures that the inside of the can is coated with a protective lacquer spray, following strict quality standards. This process is crucial for protecting the contents of the can and maintaining product safety. The LSM Operator oversees the movement of cans throughout the spray process.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Can Jam Management: Clear can jams in the Lacquer Spray Machines and upper conveyors to maintain a smooth production process.
Quality Monitoring: Conduct regular checks to ensure:
Cleanliness of can Overall, can quality Lacquer pressure, temperature, and copper sulfate tests on flangesProcess Control: Complete and document required checks, including:
Assessing metal exposure of cans Measuring lacquer weight on the interior of cans Verifying lacquer film weight distributionMachine Maintenance:
Clean spray nozzles, turret wheels, overspray boxes, and surrounding areas. Perform routine maintenance on guns, nozzles, guides, and spray delays.Preventative Maintenance:
Replace spinner belt and exit conveyor belts, worn nozzles, exit brush, guns, lacquer, and vacuum filters.Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Properly handle and dispose of waste lacquer and ensure accurate labeling of waste totes.Equipment Adjustments:
Conduct Equipment Set-up Evaluations (ESE) after making adjustments to Lacquer Spray Machines.Team Collaboration:
Support other Back-End production processes to ensure consistent flow through the LSM operations.Additional Responsibilities: Perform other job-related tasks as required or assigned to maintain efficiency and quality.
