Role purpose
The LAM/MX Risk Compliance (RC) Governance Manager will assist the LAM/MX RC Governance Head ensuring that HSBC’s governance for Risk and Compliance in LAM are effective in identifying, managing, and escalating Risk and Compliance matters.
Main activities
The responsibilities of the LAM/MX RC Governance Manager are to:
Support the LAM/MX RC Governance Head driving governance strategic initiatives across the function and maintain proper Risk governance across LAM covering specific Risk and Compliance meetings.Ensure all the secretariat activities are standardized, this includes that packs, minutes and papers are prepared in a standard format, clear to non-technical audience, and aligned to the Group Risk Compliance Governance Framework.Assist the LAM/MX RC Governance Head in following up on all actions that arise from Risk and Compliance committees/forums.Deliver an effective reporting capability which enables the functions to provide accurate information and escalate relevant matters to key governance committees.Propose improvements to reduce organisational complexity, bureaucracy and excessive governance by continuously looking at ways to simplify and support owners of committees to reduce time by streamlining them.Collaborate constructively with Risk and Compliance to ensure that the required services are delivered as agreed.Role purpose
