ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB is on the lookout for a talented Land Development Project Manager to become a key player within our Land Development Planning and Design team in Orlando, FL.

Responsibilities

Develop site/civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of projects, including large-scale industrial developments, biotech, institutional, healthcare, and residentialSupport preparation of land development design and permitting documentsResponsible for project financial performance and client relationsPrepare and review drawings and specifications documenting the systems designedAttend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues with themSupervise design team activities during Construction AdministrationManage work and development of junior-level staffManage small, medium, or large projectsDevelop new project opportunities and manage proposal submissions

Skills and Attributes

Experience working with the following: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, ArcGIS, ICPR, WaterCAD, StormCADUnderstanding of design, details, and construction drawing preparation including site layout, grading, hardscape, drainage, and plantingKnowledge of land development construction including codes and development regulationsKnowledge of construction materials and detailing; detail drawings, sections, and material specificationsExperience with green initiative programs and low-impact design (LEED, Envision)Innovative design skillsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsSelf-motivated, attention to detail, and ability to think critically and multi-taskExcels at working in a team environment and exhibits strong leadership skillsHas interest in growing business development skills

Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering or related degree5+ years of increasing engineering experience on complex projectsPE licensure in Florida or obtain within 12 monthsProficient in site layout, grading, utility design, and stormwater managementExperience in developing and compiling/producing site plans, construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports
