DescriptionQUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of three years of full time paid experience performing the following:. One year performing clerical duties, which must include data entry.. One year of customer service experience.. One year indexing land records in a Register of Deeds office (which counts as two years of experience).. One year analyzing or preparing real property documents for a Register of Deeds Office, bank, title company, mortgage company, real estate company, law firm or similar business; ORAn Associate's Degree and one year of the experience above; ORA Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university.DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR JOB DUTIES:Land Record Analysts work in the Register of Deeds office performing, highly difficult, complex, and responsible work while servicing customers. Typical duties and responsibilities include; reviewing property related records for completeness and compliance with Michigan statutes, registering records in the land records database, searching the land records database for documents, performing extensive and complex property searches using the tract books, and cashiering. Land Record Analysts interact with customers directly at the customer service station and when responding to telephone inquiries. On a daily basis, Land Record Analyst use computers, label makers, image scanners and receipt printers when performing their principle duties and other duties as assigned.TYPES OF TESTS:A Written test will be administered covering clerical aptitude, knowledge of office practices and procedures, knowledge of land records and related information.Wayne County is an Equal Opportunity Employer:AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and other national service alumni are encouraged to apply.
