POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Land Specialist, under the direction of the Manager of Land Records, is responsible for coordinating the review and processing of all agreements including leases, office leases, fee properties, easements, deeds, permits, license agreements, renewals, encroachment agreements, gas storage rights, etc. between Land, Operations, Engineering & Construction and Legal Departments. Additionally, the Land Specialist will assist the Director of Land as needed, assist the Sr. Land Specialist and Land Department personnel in the various field offices in managing day-to-day contract administration requirements; invoicing; payment processing; notification letters; reporting; and recording of all right of way and lease agreements in order to preserve and maintain the integrity of all land rights held by Boardwalk Pipelines and performs right of way document research related to current easement rights and proposed encroachments along the Boardwalk Pipelines system. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: + Excellent computer application skills including Microsoft Access and Excel + Competent written and verbal communication skills + Organizing and reporting land-related information + Ability to multi-task and interpret of legal documents + Must be notary or be qualified to become a notary PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: + General courthouse knowledge + Data interpretation and entry + Company financial system + Land database + GIS + Facility maps and drawings REQUIRED EDUCATION: + High School Diploma or equivalent PREFERRED EDUCATION: + Associate degree ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Boardwalk Pipelines, LP maintains a drug-free workplace and will require pre-employment drug & substance abuse testing before hire.
