Join our growing team as a **Survey Technician** in **Ossipee, NH** .
Take part in hands-on fieldwork that supports land development, construction, and environmental projects throughout northern New England. Supported by a team of experienced surveyors and the use of advanced equipment and software, you will help deliver high-quality survey results that drive engineering and planning decisions.
The most successful candidate for this position will enjoy working in an outdoor environment and will demonstrate the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of engineers, planners, and project managers. They will be detail-oriented and have a passion to advance their career in surveying.

**What You’ll Do**
+ Taking field measurements and stakeout of survey projects in Horizons’ areas of operation
+ Boundary surveying, topographical construction surveying/stakeout, Right-of-Way surveying, engineering surveys, land records research, and any other associated tasks with land surveying
+ Operation of various survey equipment
+ Conduct field surveys using various surveying instruments
+ Accurately measure distances, angles, and elevations to collect essential survey data
+ Operate and maintain surveying equipment to ensure proper functionality
+ Perform routine calibrations and adjustments to guarantee the accuracy of measurements
+ Work closely with the Crew Chief and other team members to execute survey projects efficiently
+ Assist in setting up and tearing down survey equipment at project sites
+ Download and organize collected field data for further processing
+ Assist in the preparation of survey drawings and reports
+ Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during field surveys to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment
+ Report any safety concerns promptly
+ Participate in site reconnaissance activities to assess conditions and potential challenges before initiating surveys
+ Maintain accurate and detailed records of survey activities, measurements, and field notes
+ Assist in the preparation of project documentation
**What You Bring**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate's Degree preferred
+ 0-3 years of professional experience in the practice of land surveying in northern New England or a similar setting.
+ Must have NH SIT Certification or be actively working toward obtaining NH licensure
+ Experience with AutoCAD design software, including Civil3D, a plus
+ Familiarity with surveying instruments and equipment
+ Basic understanding of surveying principles and techniques
+ Capable of working primarily in an outdoor work environment and occasional office environment
+ Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally with or without accommodation, sometimes over substantial distances
+ Must have a valid driver’s license
**Salary Range:**
Salary starting at $30.00/hour based on experience and licensure.
