Day to day as a Land Surveyor Ackerman-Estvold is excited to welcome a detail-oriented and experienced Professional Land Surveyor to our dynamic Boise team. In this pivotal role, you will conduct detailed land surveys using GPS, total stations, and other advanced equipment, collecting vital data on property boundaries, elevations, and various natural and man-made features. Your expertise in interpreting legal descriptions, deeds, and maps will be crucial for establishing accurate property boundaries. You'll also prepare topographic maps that showcase land contours and geographic features while providing essential construction stakeout services that guide the construction of infrastructure projects. Collaborating closely with engineers, architects, and clients, you will ensure that all survey data is accurate and delivered timely. As a mentor, you will oversee junior surveyors and technicians, enhancing the quality of their work. What you need to be successful To thrive as a Professional Land Surveyor at Ackerman-Estvold: + Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License in the state of ID or ability to obtain + 8+ years' experience in land surveying with a strong background in boundary and topographic surveys. + Must have a valid Driver's license to operate motorized vehicles + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Good time management skills. + Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills. + Strong technical skills and experience using, surveying instruments such as GPS, total stations and data collectors, as well as experience with CAD and other relevant software. + Ability to work in teams and have outstanding listening and communication skills.
