Job Description
The Land Surveyor will manage and perform construction surveys for various commercial development sites, subdivision developments, and other building sites. They will be involved in the collection of survey data, reporting and documentation, and operating survey equipment and technology. Projects include commercial building sites, subdivision developments, assisted living facilities, mixed-use, and other building/development projects.
ResponsibilitiesPlan meetings with Project ManagersGather field survey data for projectsOperate survey equipment for elevations, distance, and anglesPerform field surveying activities such as construction layout and construction stakingEssential Skills5+ years of survey experience for construction layout and construction stakeout / construction staking5+ years of experience independently operating survey equipment such as Leica, Trimble, Topcon, or relatedSurvey experience for commercial site development, residential / subdivision development, or transportation roadway / highway projectsAdditional Skills & QualificationsDegree in Surveying or Civil EngineeringCertified Survey TechnicianWork Environment
Will work both onsite in the field for projects. Project sites are located in the Greater Lansing area. The Land Surveyor will work in a 1 to 3 person team for land survey projects onsite.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $40.00/hr.
