**Position Overview:**
In this role, you’ll provide technical supervision and leadership for the **safe, competitive, and environmentally compliant operation** and **maintenance** of our gas plant at the Ridge Landfill.
**Key Responsibilities (non-exhaustive list):**
Weekly:
+ Conduct safety meetings
+ Track budget forecasts
+ Prepare and close work orders
+ Inspect well fields and gas plants
+ Develop work plans for gas plant and drilling field operations
+ Supervise and dispatch contractors
+ Approve purchase orders and invoices
+ Assist in gas plant operation and troubleshooting
+ Enhance equipment performance and availability
+ Support new projects
+ Review timesheets
+ Review oil sampling reports
Monthly:
+ Inspect buildings
+ Calibrate and maintain gas analyzers
+ Prepare REC reports
+ Train employees
+ Assist SMBR with maintenance and troubleshooting
+ Monitor surface emissions
+ Plan for maintenance and shutdowns
Quarterly:
+ Review gas well monitoring reports
+ Conduct job observations
+ Review lockout/tagout (LO/TO) procedures
+ Inspect maintenance checklists
+ Review vibration analysis reports
+ Examine infrared inspection reports for electrical equipment
Annually:
+ Prepare next year’s budget
+ Draft the annual REC report
+ Conduct fire system and sprinkler inspections
+ Prepare documents for annual overpressure protection plan audit with TCPL
+ Prepare employee STIPs (short-term incentive plans)
Requirements:
+ Proven experience as an impactful Senior Technician in a similar setting
+ 8-12 years of recent experience in the natural gas or energy industry in a leadership capacity, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
+ Proficiency in software tools like MS Office Suite and Maximo is an advantage
+ Strong communication skills
+ Proven ability to manage competing priorities and demanding schedules
+ Ability to travel outside the province and to the USA as required
