Role description:

Working as an integrated member of the delivery team, supporting the collection and analysis of data, the development of design solutions, and documenting the findings Act as a project resource, carrying out tasks as required by the Task Manager Will be involved in various stages of project from concept to construction documentation

Role accountabilities:

Collaborate with senior landscape architects to create design calculations and solutions and develop schematic to construction drawings Collaboratively develop landscape engineering design solutions to landscape projects to applicable codes and standards quality requirements. Expected to have a thorough working knowledge required to help develop a fully resolved irrigation system, and specifically: Water Demand Calculation Automatic irrigation system design (wiring and piping network, operations scheduling) Engineering design calculations Engineering design criteria Engineering specifications Engineering details  Utilize computer-aided design software (CAD) software, 3D modeling tools, hydraulic softwares in developing design solutions focusing on irrigation and drainage engineering Help the project team lead in producing detailed calculations, drawings, specifications, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses Utilize computer-aided design software (CAD) software, 3D modeling tools, hydraulic softwares in developing design solutions focusing on irrigation and drainage engeineering Identify information sources and collect relevant data to support project delivery, analyse data and develop design solutions Help prepare documentation and reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with Arcadis requirements and relevant national standards and codes of practice Learn about local building codes, zoning ordinances, and environmental laws to ensure project compliance. Review own work to ensure that it meets specified standards before checking by others Participation in any delegated tasks by the Senior Landscape Architect that will help in delivering the landscape design package, similar to tasks carried out by Landscape technicians if staff resourcing is scarce. Act as a project resource, completing allocated activities to meet budget, timeframe and quality objectives and meeting or exceeding client expectations Liaise with Task Managers / Team Leaders to ensure effective communication on project matters Perform role in accordance with Arcadis behavioural framework Take responsibility for own safety and understand Arcadis Health and Safety Principles

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in landscape architecture or agricultural engineering related discipline; particular focus on irrigation experience preferred. Strong design and computational skills with proficiency in CAD and Hydraulic modelling software (i.e. Epanet, IrriCAD, Irrigation F/X) Knowledged in 3D modelling softwares such as Sketch-up, Revit and Enscape is an advantage. Knowledge of horticulture, ecology and sustainability principles Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team A strong passion for landscape architecture and irrigation and commitment to sustainable design practices Excellent communication and presentation skills Minimum 2 years of experience with strong background in landscape and irrigation design
