Tree Trimmer I 

The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is looking for a Tree Trimmer I who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our Tree Trimmer I has the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

Provide the physical labor required to trim coconut and other palms and various  small and large canopy trees to maintain proper health, function and structure. 

Climb and trim a canopy tree that requires rigging and harnessing according to arboriculture standards. 

Manipulate tree climbing bands at a height needed for trimming all coconut trees in the resort. 

Ability to operate properly, various machines and equipment used in landscape maintenance. such as: hand tools, mowers, trimmers, chain saws,  Haulotte Manlift, Vermeer chipper, stump grinder and diesel, gas and electric vehicles. 

Observe all project safety practices.  Report all damaged equipment, injuries and occupational related illnesses immediately to the Landscape Manager. 

Assist in inventory and parts storage. 

Assist with assembling work estimates and proposals. 

Submitting all job sheets for billing at the end of each month. 

Work independently and within a team dynamic. 

Learn the common names and how to care for the various plants throughout the resort. 

Able to work weekends and holidays as needed.

WHAT TO BRING 

A minimum of  two years of prior landscape and tree trimming experience. 

Knowledge of industry standards and proper tree pruning techniques according to ISA standards. 

Physically able to lift 20-75 pounds frequently. 

Must have a valid Hawaii drivers license. 

Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
