As a result, our people get to enjoy working on some of the most exciting projects in the world. **Job Description** The Landside Field Engineer will provide technical support, field inspections, and problem resolution throughout the construction process of landside infrastructure projects. This role requires strong engineering expertise to ensure that construction activities comply with FAA, Caltrans, and local regulatory standards. The Landside Field Engineer will work closely with project managers, contractors, and quality assurance teams to provide technical input, identify and resolve construction challenges, and ensure adherence to design specifications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in transportation engineering, airport infrastructure, and field inspections. This position will involve conducting site visits, reviewing engineering drawings, preparing progress reports, and troubleshooting construction issues to ensure the successful completion of landside projects, including roadways, parking structures, utilities, and terminal access improvements. **Responsibilities:** + Conduct field inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with FAA regulations, Caltrans standards, and project specifications. + Assist in the review and interpretation of engineering drawings, technical plans, and construction reports. + Identify and resolve on-site engineering challenges, coordinating with project managers, contractors, and consultants. + Prepare daily construction progress reports, material usage logs, and field documentation to track project milestones. + Work closely with QA/QC inspectors and safety teams to maintain construction quality and compliance with safety standards. + Support contract administration and project submittal reviews, ensuring that all materials and methods meet design requirements. + Assist in pavement, drainage, and utility infrastructure inspections for airport landside developments. + SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field preferred. + 3-5 years of experience in airport or transportation engineering. + Familiarity with FAA Part 139, airfield drainage systems, and road design standards. + Proficiency in AutoCAD, civil engineering software, and construction documentation tools. **Additional Information** **The salary range for this full-time role is** **$90K-$140k** **per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary.
