Large Event Team (LET) Lead

GDIT is seeking highly experienced and qualified Large Event Team (LET) Lead to support our Mission Command (MC) training teams at the Fort Bliss, TX Mission Training Complex (MTC).  The ideal candidate acts as a recognized technical expert in base labor category description.

HOW THE LET LEAD WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Acts as a recognized technical expert in base labor category description. Functions as an individual contributor in at least one of the six Army Warfighting Functions (WfF).Utilizes expertise and experience in staff training best practices, industry requirements and information technology disciplines to develop technical and training solutions in support of Army mission command training.Has a high level of diverse technical and industry experience related to a specific skill set. Typically has specialization in a particular technology or WfF. Keeps abreast of doctrinal, operational and tactical training methodology as well as technological developments and trends.Plans, coordinates, and executes unit collective training at echelons ranging from Battalion to Corps. Assists unit leadership in planning collective training that will meet their training objectives; identifies any gaps (resource, training, equipment, etc.) and works with the management team to ensure they are filled prior to execution of training.  Serves in a mentorship or observer/trainer role when requested. Gathers observations based on unit actions during the training event and provides input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs).  Maintains a comprehensive repository of relevant TTPs.         Provides operational, intelligence, and administrative planning support necessary to meet the needs of the task order by providing capability briefings and demonstrations of various training systems and simulation capabilities for Mission Command Training audience, Sr. Leaders and Government-designated officials.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: BA/BS Degree or equivalent years of experience.Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience with Military training and training support;Required Skills and Abilities:Requires at least eight years’ related experience in instructional development.Have served as an Operations Sergeant Major or Operations Sergeant in a Battalion, Brigade, Division or Corps command post; Preferred completed Army Battle Staff CourseRequires advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in technology-based training as well as the use and application of off-the-shelf tools and associated equipment and systems.Be qualified to operate at least two Army MCISSecurity Clearance: Secret required to startLocation: Fort Bliss, TX MTC. Normal work schedule is 0730-1630, may require night or weekend work shifts depending on specific training event requirementsTravel: Must be able to travel approximately 25%
