This position exists to provide technical assistance to applicants, and program management and implementation of project closeout activities of the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) Program. The incumbent is responsible for closing PA large projects, serving as the subject matter expert for large project closeouts, providing training to Public Assistance and Applicant Services (AS) staff, and assisting applicants in meeting the closeout requirements of the PA program for both federal and state funds. The incumbent is responsible for completing single audit requirements and serve as the subject matter expert to train PA and AS staff in all aspects of the single audit program. *This position will have the option of teleworking; however, it will be based on the business needs of the unit and is at supervisory discretion. **Minimum Qualifications** Minimum of two (2) years of professional level experience, a bachelor's degree in Experiential Education or Emergency Management may substitute for one year of professional level experience. Professional level experience much include the following: + Evaluating and measuring compliance with federal and state regulations and policies. + FEMA's Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation Assistance programs. + Project management; from assessing alignment of strategies and goals in a plan through application development, implementation, and closeout. + Intergovernmental Relationships at the local, Tribal, State and/or National Level. + Possess excellent written and oral communications skills. + Be able to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. **Preferred Qualifications** + Have demonstrated experience working with FEMA’s PA, IA and Hazard Mitigation Programs. + Have demonstrated experience in conducting audits of federal and state grant programs. + Have completed FEMA Independent Study Courses IS-100, 200, 1000. **Physical Requirements** Light: Requires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file boxes and heavy hand tools or heavier materials with help from others, and moving and transporting light objects frequently.
