Job SummaryThe work of a Manager-on-Duty includes directing supervisory personnel within the assigned functional area; overseeing and advising on staffing requirements; monitoring/administering discipline/corrective action by or for subordinates; ensuring customer satisfaction by daily feedback; and acting as a liaison between first-level supervisor and upper management. Proactively monitors the work of assigned employees to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality, and employee relations meet or exceed standards. Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation.
Ensure that the required company audit requirements are undertaken to ensure continuity and compliance at all times. Read, understand, and clarify the implementation of the site-specific security plan and ensure that all WFS staff are issued with a relevant company ID and that they are required to display this identity badge. Ensures they administer practices in a fair and equitable manner, where all employees, customers, vendors, and other third parties are treated with respect.
Responsibilities Interpret and apply company policies, union contracts, governmental regulations, and airline procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Prepare reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals to document and enhance service standards. Communicate effectively with managers, clients, and customers, providing clear responses to inquiries and concerns. Analyze operational challenges by collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions to improve service delivery. Follow and implement various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to maintain smooth operations. Operate required equipment and maintain necessary certifications or licenses as needed for the role. Oversee shift-specific responsibilities, ensuring seamless execution of customer service and operational duties. Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance to meet operational demands. Minimum Requirements Two to five years of previous management/specialist supervisory experience in field service duties College degree or equivalent experience Airline pricing experience Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), holidays, and days off. Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language. Preferred Skills Familiarity with personal computer software helpful. Independent judgment and decision-making skills required. Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
