Operate the CNC laser cutting machine and support the production team by operating machinery as instructed by Team Leaders and Supervisors. 

 

Work Shift: 2nd shift (3:00 pm -11:30pm)   Hr Rate : 22.90 plus shift differential

 

2. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

Operate the CNC laser cutting machine and other machinery used in the production. 
Select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness for optimal performance. Knowledge about shield gasses used during laser cutting operation. 

Monitor fill level of the bulk tank system and report reordering levels to the supervisor. Work in a fast paced environment with fast changing priorities. 

Keep the work area clean and organized. 

Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task. 

Follow all company rules and policies. 

Follow all safety rules and quality standards. 

Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency. 

Prepare products for further fabrication. 

Lift raw materials using a hoist. 

Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above. 

3. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 

 

• 2+ years of experience on Trumpf, Cincinnati or similar CNC laser cutting machines. • High school diploma required. 

• Solid background working with sheet metal. 

• Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance. 

• Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills. • Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Cold Rolled, Stainless Steel • Candidate has to be a strong team player. 

• Candidate has to be reliable. 

4. ADDITIONAL SKILLS (PREFERRED) 

• Knowledge of lifting techniques 

• Ability to read blueprints 

• Ability to lift heavy items 

• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
