Job Description:

Overview
The Laser Programmer/Nester is responsible for the scheduling and nesting of our laser machines as well as first level programming.

Responsibilities

Create, nest, and modify programs for Laser and Press Brake machines

Read & interpret blueprints

Work with Engineering to optimize new parts for laser cutting and improving yield

Use measuring devices such as gauges, calipers, and tape measures to verify part quality

Schedule jobs to be performed at Laser

Qualifications

2+ years of Laser Programming/nesting experience required

AutoCad experience is preferred

Associates Degree in Engineering is a plus

Must be able to read blueprints

Knowledge of cutting parameters and various metals required

Experience operating flat or tube laser machines is a plus

Basic math skills required
