Primary Responsibility:
Responsible for performing functions associated with optical laser products. Performs testing and troubleshooting of complex systems, subassemblies and printed circuit boards. Test, operate, repair, and maintain lasers products that use or incorporate lasers. Install and align optical parts, such as mirrors and lenses. Utilize oscilloscopes. Knowledge of analog and digital circuitry. Assemble, install and align electronic components. Set-up electronic and optical instruments to test laser device. Responsible for review of assembly layout, blueprints, and sketches, analyze test data, and prepare technical reports for engineers.
Entry Level (1):
Skill: Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
Job Complexity: Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision-making.
Supervision: Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Works under close supervision.
Experience & Education: Requires experience in testing digital and/or analog systems. Ability to read drawings and use measurement instruments. An AA degree, military technical training or their equivalent vocational training is required. Minimum of 0 - 1 year of related experience.
