Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is searching for a dynamic Certified Surgical Technologist, to join the interdisciplinary team performing patient care at the OR. From precise neurosurgery and heart valve replacement through minor incisions in the leg, to robotic surgery through the belly button and custom joint replacement procedures, revolutionary technology and techniques provide patients with the best possible care, including the most advanced robotic surgery system in the Big Bend.

 

TMH surgical service is in the brand new M.T. Mustian Center, which is a multi-story 340,000+ square foot addition with modernized 28 operating rooms, 72 adult medical/surgical intensive care units and 4 interventional suites, which is located at the southeast corner of the TMH campus and directly connected to the existing Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

 

 

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

 

Responsibilities:

 

Specialized position as a Certified Surgical Technologist with our neurosurgical team. 

Neuro CST’s specialize in spine and brain surgery working alongside the same surgeons and RN’s consistently to become highly skilled in the specialty.

 Dedicated neuro-techs will take call responsibilities outside of their usual shift to cover neurosurgical cases during evenings, nights and weekends.  Techs rotate weeks between team members.  Other off-shift requirements are not covered by neuro specialty techs, only neurosurgical cases will require coverage.Additional duties include stocking specialty supplies and updating neurosurgical preference cards.

Required Education:

 

Minimum:

High School GraduateGraduation from a formal accredited surgical technician training program.

 

Preferred Experience:

Two years surgical technician experience.

 

Required Certification/License/Registry:

Certified Surgical Tech Certification

Hours

7am-5pm with call responsibilities
