LATAM Learning & Development Leader , Global Operations Learning & Development (GOLD)
Description We are seeking an exceptional leader to drive Amazon's Learning & Development initiatives across Latin America as part of our Global Operations Learning and Development (GOLD) organization. This strategic position will shape the future of leadership development across Brazil and Mexico, while fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence. As the LATAM L&D Leader, you will: - Drive strategic learning initiatives across Amazon's Latin American operations; - Shape leadership development experiences for our growing workforce in Brazil and Mexico; - Partner with senior stakeholders to align learning solutions with business objectives; - Lead and develop the GOLD LATAM team, fostering a high-performance culture; - Serve as a key member of the Rest of World (ROW) GOLD leadership team. Key job responsibilities Strategic Leadership - Develop and execute comprehensive L&D strategies aligned with regional business needs; - Build and maintain strong partnerships with senior leaders across operations; - Collaborate with People eXperience and Technology (PXT) teams to deliver innovative learning solutions; - Drive measurable business impact through learning initiatives. Team Leadership - Build and mentor high-performing L&D teams across LATAM; - Create an inclusive and engaging team culture; - Ensure operational excellence in program delivery; - Foster cross-functional collaboration with global GOLD teams. Business Partnership - Partner with WWOPs business leaders to identify and address learning needs; - Influence senior stakeholders across multiple countries and functions; - Drive data-informed decision-making in learning program development; - Align regional initiatives with GOLD strategies. The team accomplishes this mission by creating Learning and Development (L&D) solutions that follow employees’ journey at Amazon. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree; - Proven track record in Learning & Development or similar functions; - Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams; - Proven success influencing and partnering with senior leadership; - Experience developing and implementing organization-wide L&D strategies; - Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into effective learning solutions; - Strong consultative skills and stakeholder management experience; - Experience in organizational development and change management; - Strong cultural awareness and ability to adapt solutions for different markets; - Fluent English. Preferred Qualifications - Deep understanding of learning methodologies and performance improvement frameworks; - Strong background in management and leadership development; - Spanish language proficiency; - Experience working in multinational organizations; - Knowledge of adult learning principles.
