We are seeking an experienced reporter to break news on foreign investment coming, leaving or moving around Latin America due to changes in government policy. This role requires breaking news on long-term corporate investments in the region, explaining what role governments are playing in the decision-making process.
Tracking global capital flows and understanding their drivers is becoming ever more complex as nations make use of tariffs, taxes and other statecraft instruments to upend the current economic order.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of delivering scoops on investment decisions and a deep understanding of the government policies underpinning them. They will be able to provide investors with real-time insights into the evolving investment landscape in Latin America, as well as in-depth analysis on how policies in major economies like Brazil, Mexico and Argentina shape corporate strategy. Experience in Asia and the Middle East would be a plus.
You will be part of a team of Economy & Government reporters and editors that's spread across some 10 Latin American countries, working closely with them. You will also collaborate with reporters from other beats, as well as analysts and geoeconomists from Bloomberg Economics.
