Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering 2+ years of engineering and manufacturing experience The ability to travel regionally (S.E. MI and Northern OH) for the foreseeable futurePreferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of GD&T; reading engineering drawings Strong communication skills along with the ability to work in a cross functional team Strong organization skills with the ability to handle complex projects with multiple objectives Familiarity of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma Proven record of customer focused work

What you'll do…
Support development and implementation of Crankshafts and Gears manufacturing systems for new powertrain programs in southeast Michigan and Ohio Utilize machining process knowledge, particularly steel and iron metal cutting and grinding to deliver an efficient and optimized process regarding quality, costs, timing, and footprint Lead equipment installation, power on, run capability, and equipment handover to the powertrain plants Initiate bids, evaluate, recap bids for equipment purchase; work with Purchasing to write and place orders Work with OEMs, suppliers, Product, and Plant engineering teams to resolve engineering and program delivery issues Interface and coordinate project related items such as facilities, safety, ergonomics, material handling & kitting, tooling, and gauging Support discrete event simulation for constraint analysis; work with Industrial Engineers (IE) to assess and improve throughput Travel up to 100% to SE Michigan and Ohio Manufacturing Plants during equipment installation and launch
