We are looking for a Launch Readiness Lead, Epilepsy and Rare, who can ad interim replace our UCB colleague that goes on maternity leave mid April -25 for 1 year. The potential for subsequent transition into a permanent position for a similar role within the Launch Readiness & Impact Team exists as UCB´s no of launches forsees to remain high in next 3 years, particularly within Epilepsy and Rare indications. For location, proximity to the Patient Impact Maximisation team in any of our Brussels, Belgium, Slough, UK or other relevant hub in Europe / intercontinental.

 

 

About the role

The Launch Readiness Lead is critical for the orchestration and enablement of countries to perform excellent launches from market understanding to operational readiness for execution of aligned strategy in market and effective stakeholder engagement. The Launch Readiness Lead contributes to an aligned and prepared organization, ensuring the appropriate launch support is in place and facilitating leadership team´s experience assists countries in a consistent approach across all launches supported by UCB Way of Launch.

 

Who you’ll work with

You will work with cross-functional therapeutic area/asset Teams at Country, Regional and Global levels, as well as Subject Matter Experts that support Operations in Patient Impact and Backbone functions. The role is beyond its direct launch readiness responsibilities an active participant in developing UCB launch governance and tools and member of relevant Asset PSLTs.

 

What you’ll do

Support global teams and countries in developing/activation of x-functional launch plans by asset/indication leveraging global, regional and PIM resources within UCB Way of Launch FrameworkYou will maintain and utilise a portfolio perspective on the Asset(s)/Indications to support the launch ambition for the BrandIn partnership with global asset teams and regions, review the launch readiness of countries, in line with the activities in the launch plans and launch activity tracker.Enable connection btw the countries & critical backbone functionsCoordinate cadence of asset launch deliverables Support countries in preparing for Launch Readiness Reviews and chair Launch Readiness Reviews. Oversee countries/regions follow up through implementation.In partnership with regions oversee initial launch performance for initial phase incl. launch field rides Upon need for acceleration/course correction post launch, support countries/regions with framework for implementation of change plansEffectively share actionable insights through PSLT, Global/Regional infrastructures and ISP to inform strategic decisions

 

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

For this role we’re looking for 15 years of pharma and healthcare related experience, preferably with working experience at global, regional or multi-country level and leadership track record, direct or indirect;

 

Rare disease, epilepsy and neuromuscular specialties area and x-functional expertise/experience –  either medical or access or commercial incl. experience of rare patient journeys and barriers in treatment pathway. Strategic Thinking; Capacity to understand the global strategies & pragmatically and efficiently co-create translation to the local environmentLaunch Execution and Operational Experience: Ability to support countries with valuable, pragmatic feedback where improvements can be made for launch preparations. Inspire launch teams to think more deeply about some of the key business questions Market Insights: Experienced in gathering and analyzing local market insights to inform asset strategies, optimize product launches and tailor commercial approaches to local/regional needsInternal Stakeholder Network & Management: Ability to build and nurture trustful relationships with key stakeholders such as countries, regions, asset teams, regulatory, access, supply, L&D I2I, legal.Communication & Facilitation: Ability to encourage teams to communicate and work effectively incl. conflict resolution. Facilitate for value-adding business conversations for countries to gain input and guidance on business questions and challenges
