Laundry Advance Assistant (Linen Handler)- FT/PT, Walt Disney World
Do you have passion for Laundry and working independently? We are currently seeking a Laundry Advance Assistant Linen Handler Cast Member -to work at Walt Disney World. All Laundry Cast Members work in a fast paced, and excessive production environment. This role requires working hours of standing, walking, climbing stairs, pushing, pulling, pinching, bending, twisting, stooping, and lifting from the floor to above the head. Cast Members may work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. We work at multiple locations across property. Cast will transport clean and soiled textiles to designated areas. Linen Handlers may conduct inventory. **The starting pay rate for this role is $17.00 per hour.** **Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as financial, and/or other benefits. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles. Part-Time requires full availability for any shift, any (3) days per week, including nights and holidays. Part-Time Cast Members will work between 0 hour to 24 hours per week. **Responsibilities :** + Working independently and as a Team with minimal supervision from Leadership. + Maintain safety of our Guests and Cast while operating vehicles, including pargos or other various utility vehicles. + Use of specific equipment to tow multiple containers. + Repetitive tasks in a factory/production/warehouse-style environment. + May have alternate assigned duties outside of standard responsibilities. + Maintain cleanliness of facility and equipment. + Use of a good judgment to prioritize and sequence tasks to meet demand. + Maneuver metros in and out of a work area. + Learn how to use a computer or handheld device to conduct inventory, send reports and communicate to others. + Manage pending shipments and excess textiles in an organized manner. + Perform basic math skills **Basic Qualifications :** + Be at least 18 years of age. + A valid US Driver’s License to drive company vehicles like pick-up truck, Pargo. + Strong communication skills (including written and spoken English, and interpersonal relationships) to positively talk with Guests, Cast Members, and Leadership. + Physical role requiring heavy lifting, walking, pushing, pulling, bending twisting, and kneeling. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Previous Houseperson, Housekeeping, and/or Laundry experience **Additional Information :** **SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY:** Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am.
