Laundry Industry Maintenance Technician

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.  

Essential Job Responsibilities/Expectations
1.    Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. 
2.    Must follow all facility safety precautions including machine operation and lifting procedures. 
3.    Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
4.    Must have troubleshooting ability in the electrical control field to include PLCs, inverter drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, bearing, chains, and belting, conveying systems, valves, basic blueprint reading, and mechanical troubleshooting.
5.    Performing preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
6.    Record taking of daily meter readings, boiler chemistry, and sanitation.
7.    Responding to maintenance calls during production hours
8.    Repairing machinery in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
9.    Assist in training new employees on correct machinery operation.

Job Requirements
Qualifications /Training:
Must have two years of electrical experience. 
Strong communication skills.
Flexible schedule which includes weekends and holidays.
Have a keen acumen relating to safety and quality.
Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facility.
Must be able to access all parts of the company equipment.


Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
High School Diploma or GED, prefer an Associate Degree in manufacturing related field
Required to obtain a medical certification card
