SUMMARY
The Laundry Linen Runner is responsible for the maintaining and accounting of all linen levels in the hotel tower. In this role they will ensure the team has the linen required to fulfil on each day’s room cleaning requirements. They will deliver prompt, courteous and team minded service throughout the entire resort and adhere to all Grand Sierra Resort standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Daily, enter each closet and complete inventory of all terry and linen
· Report inconsistencies or concerns to the management team
· Reorganize and maintain shelves to the proper par levels
· Assist with stocking carts with linen on occasion
· Deliver linen from laundry to all floors to ensure par levels are met
· Return empty bins to the spa level
· Communicate with the Laundry team on any needs throughout the day
· Ability to push, pull, and lift more than 50lbs
· Communicate effectively in English, count and perform simple math functions.
· Determine if the linen/ terry needs to be redistributed to ensure all floors are covered and to work with minimal supervision.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
· Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
· Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
· May be required to perform a combination of functions to be determined based upon the particular needs of the Hotel.
· Provide clear direction, instruction and guidance to Team Members and guests.
· Must be able to listen and respond to guest inquiries in a positive and professional manner.
· Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
· Must possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts and team members at all levels of the company.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Previous Housekeeping/laundry experience required. Any combination of education, training, or experience listed that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, team members and others.
· Is regularly required to sit; stand; walk and move through all areas of the casino; speak and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel. May reach with hands and arms above shoulder level; bend/stoop, squat, balance, kneel, lift and push/pull. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance visions, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

· While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
