Basic Function: 

Oversee the laundry services for both associates, hotel’s departments and guests by inspecting the current work flow and its efficiency.

Work Performed:

Fills in positions in Laundry when needed (due to absences, breaks, etc.).Trains staff in safe operation of equipment and the use of proper processing methods.Ensure quality linen is being produced and separate old and damaged linen while processing.Instruct and inform laundry associates of schedule and equipment to be used.Monitor par levels and advice laundry manager when reordering is needed.Monitor stain percentage, damaged linen and production reports. Schedule re-wash cycles of stained linen and schedule repairs of damaged linen as needed.Coordinates maintenance with laundry mechanics.Assist other positions in department as needed or as directed by Laundry Manager.Ability to perform all positions in the laundry and uniform room including safe and proper operation of all equipment.

Supervision Received:  Laundry Manager and Director of Rooms

 

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED, and/or equivalent work experience.  Attention to detail and ability to multi-task many priorities.  Self motivated, ability to work with little supervision and organized.   Must be dependable. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals.  Prefer some basic English skills.

Ability to work in all types of weather conditions

Ability to drive golf cart on occasion as necessary
