If you want to work making positive changes in the community the Montana Department of Corrections is the place for you! *JOB OVERVIEW –*This position is assigned within the Division of Montana Correctional Enterprises and located at Montana State Prison. This position is responsible for: * The day-to-day management of the Association of Linen Management (ALM) commercial laundry training program. * Manages the structured training that leads to industry recognized certificates and certifications through the ALM. * Provides training to the inmate work force for employment opportunities in the commercial laundry field. * Responsible for the management of the adult male offenders in all aspects of a large correctional facility commercial laundry process. Most duties are performed in the high security compound and most of the laundry inmate work force is close custody inmates. * Enforces security, safety, and sanitation regulations. * Directs and coordinates the activities of inmates engaged in the production or processing of goods. * Confers with others to coordinate operations and activities within or between areas and units. * Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals. * Inspects and observes materials, products, work gauges, dials, or equipment to detect problems and ensure conformity to production or processing standards. * Compiles and maintains daily records, production reports, delivery receipts, finished product inventory, supply inventory, and other regulatory records. * Provides customers service as necessary to ensure that all customer concerns are met and addresses issues. * Conducts training regarding equipment operations, work procedures, safety, and security requirements. * Interprets specifications, blueprints, job orders, facility policies and procedures for inmates. * Performs personnel functions, such as hiring, firing, performance management, discipline, monitoring hours worked and attendance for inmates. *REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS – * * Resume * Cover Letter * State of Montana Application** /Applications submitted without required materials may not be considered./** Materials submitted but not requested may not be considered in the selection process. This agency will accept alternative methods of obtaining necessary qualifications. Other applicable training and/or certification in an applicable area would be considered.
