Job Description The Washperson's duties include assisting with the day to day running of the Laundry department through preparing items for laundry. Other duties include but not limited to:
Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in a clean uniform. Separate all laundry prior to washing. Operate and maintain laundry equipment following procedures, including safety procedures, set by the Laundry Supervisor. Maintain the working areas and equipment in a clean and safe manner at all times. Adhere to all safety practices and standards for the operation of laundry equipment. In addition, other duties that may be assigned by your Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Demonstrated ability to provide clear and pleasant telephone communication to all callers. Ability to stand, squat, crouch, kneel and walk for prolonged periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and oral. May be exposed to mechanical, electrical and chemical hazards. May be exposed to higher than normal noise levels. Ability to work in extreme heat. Demonstrated attention to detail Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality of all guests and hotel information at all times. Ability to work cohesively with other departments as part of a team Ability to perform basic mathematic computations
