Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Bellows Air Force Station, Waimanalo, Hawaii. Responsibilities Receives lodging towels. Separates and loads soiled items into washer. Unloads washer and loads clean items into dryer. Fold clean towels and prepare for distribution. Receives and counts linen returned from contract cleaner. Inventories all towels, linen, pillows, and bed spreads. May be required to pickup and deliver towels and linen. Keeps break room and laundry area neat and clean. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience: No previous experience or training is required. Must be able to follow simple oral instructions. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry light objects weighing 10 to 25 pounds. Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, and reach. Must be able to communicate clearly and possess skill in dealing with public. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal Affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Direct deposit is required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. A probationary period may be required. Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD). Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
