The Laundry Worker processes linen in an industrial laundry setting. **Responsibilities** A day in the life of a Laundry Worker at Hackensack Meridian _Health_ includes: + Folds linen and transports to storage and delivery carts. + Delivers processed linens via an exchange cart system and a PAR replenishment system. + Processes linen through automated equipment such as the ironer. + Performs continuous quality inspection of linen for stains and tears. + Picks up soiled linen and transports to processing area. + Posts sort damp clean linen into classifications at the rate of the wash machine speed when assigned. + Assists cleaning of work areas, sweeping and dusting. + Prepares exchange and PAR carts. + Feeds washing machines with soiled linen. + Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Centers Organizational Competencies. **Qualifications** Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: + High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. + 3 to 5 years experience in a production environment.
