We are looking for an experienced Law Clerk to join our Legal Department supporting our LatAm and other global subsidiaries.
About the Role
Assist with day-to-day corporate matters, including annual/periodic filings and registrations, drafting resolutions and various other types of corporate documentation, coordinating subsidiary board meetings, and supporting internal corporate restructurings and reorganisationsOversee the updating of global legal entity records in the company’s Blueprint OneWorld database and work with others to update and maintain Thomson Reuters’ global group structure chartsProvide support/back-up to other Thomson Reuters paralegals and company secretaries around the world Assist with information requests, corporate history matters and other questionsConduct online research and due diligence Coordinate with other Corporate departments, such as Tax, Treasury, HR and Accounting, as well as outside legal counsel and other external advisors and agentsAssist lawyers and other legal professionals in the Thomson Reuters Legal Department and outside counsel with aspects of corporate, securities and/or M&A transactionsParticipate in various Thomson Reuters Legal Department special projects and initiatives Other duties as assignedAbout You
5+ years of experience at a law firm or corporate legal department Law Clerk certification/diploma from a recognized Law Clerk programKnowledge of LatAm corporate laws, rules and regulationsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAble to work independentlyAble to work across boundaries as part of a global team Experience using Blueprint OneWorld or similar company secretarial software Excellent PC skills (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint); knowledge of Microsoft Teams, electronic signature software and document assembly software, a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skills English and Spanish.
