Receive road condition data from other communications centers and enter the information in the computer system for agencies, state and nationwide; receive, transmit and monitor messages from/or between state, county and municipal law enforcement or emergency services through operation of two-way radio, telephone and communication computer system. Obtain confidential criminal records and traffic safety information from the IOWA System for state and local law enforcement officers; elicit from callers the type of assistance needed and notify appropriate enforcement officials or emergency services; maintain contact with investigation officers by monitoring messages to alert other officers of suspected violence against officer involved. Other Information: Ability to pass a physical and psychological evaluation provided by the Department of Public Safety which includes normal hearing with a loss not exceeding a twenty-five decibel average in either ear at 500, 1000, 2000 and 4000 cycles, vision corrected to 20/20 and normal speech.
