The Instructor NT is a non-tenure track position with responsibilities to teach full-time and to provide appropriate service. The Instructor NT may participate in research or creative activities. Description of Primary Duties
Duties include teaching Legal Environment of Business, which includes topics such as contracts, torts, and administrative law, as well as other law courses delivered via traditional classroom and/or online, maintaining faculty qualification per the College of Business’ policies, and providing service to Missouri State University, the profession, and the community. This is an on-campus position, and the individual is expected to maintain a physical presence on the Springfield campus.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
An earned terminal degree or the degree required for teaching in certain disciplines is required. Potential or demonstrated teaching ability is required. A willingness to serve the academic unit, college, and the University is required.
Additional Qualifications
Requirements for the position are as follows: 1) A Juris Doctor degree, 2) potential or demonstrated teaching ability, 3) at least three (3) years of professional business experience or law practice or teaching experience in one or more areas covered in LAW 231 “Legal Environment of Business,” and 4) a willingness to serve the academic unit, college, and the University.
