Law Trademark Specialist

Ecolab is seeking a Law Trademark Specialist with a solid understanding of international trademark docket management to support Ecolab’s global businesses. This position will primarily support the trademark team with timely protection of the Ecolab trademark portfolio globally by maintaining an accurate docket system.  
 
Main Responsibilities

Manage global trademark docket and administration involving over 14,000 trademark filings and hundreds of active trademark enforcement matters. Communicate and coordinate with US and foreign trademark counsel regarding trademark registration, maintenance, and enforcement activities. Monitor upcoming deadlines, create and update docket records, track progress of enforcement matters, and ensure the docket is consistently updated.  Assist trademark attorneys with trademark monitoring and status check activities.   Review and triage trademark inbox and take appropriate action, including sending prepared responses, routing to appropriate personnel, and docketing deadlines. Prepare and distribute automated or customized trademark docket reports to internal teams when requested.  Provide support with domain name portfolio management. 

 
Key Qualifications
 

Minimum of three years to five years of experience in a law firm or in-house corporate setting as an IP paralegal or administrator.   University Law diplomaEnglish Fluency and experience working in primarily English-speaking roles.  Experience with IP docketing systems, such as WebTMS or FoundationIP. Experience with document-management systems, such as iManage.Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products. Familiarity with USPTO and foreign trademark databases preferred.Exemplary organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail. Ability to proactively manage a high volume of tasks with competing deadlines through time management and establishing priorities. Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality and effectively manage sensitive information with professionalism and speed. Ability to quickly become knowledgeable in a new environment, including knowledge of organizational operations, procedures and staff. Resourcefulness, sound judgment, and tact to appropriately handle requests from all levels, including senior management.  A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and will be reliable, professional, and service oriented.
