Course Description: This course focuses on current debates concerning shareholder and investor protection within public and private corporations. Particular attention is paid to the competing and complimentary roles that boards of directors, public regulators, and private litigation parties play during disputes, and the ways these bodies can both advance and hinder shareholder and stakeholder interests. Case studies concerning executive compensation, shareholder and stakeholder activism, mergers and acquisitions, and more are explored to examine the competing strategies that are playing out in boardrooms and courtrooms today.

The University may, at its discretion, assign the person of choice to give this Course/Teaching.
