24% bonus potential Comprehensive benefits package Training and development, as well as opportunities to grow within the organizationThis individual will work with the Regional General Manager to provide leadership in all aspects of the CP department, including physical, financial, and people resources in the deployment of the business plan. This individual will efficiently manage and direct all aspects of the Consumer Products (CP) business (parts, service and sales), as well as coordinate activities and ensure cooperation/consistency with all other CP departments in the region to best serve the needs of the customer and employees. They will provide a work environment that will optimize the profitable growth of the business, the personal growth of employees and the satisfaction of customers.
Specific Duties Include:
• Lead the process of defining and communicating the company’s core values, vision and mission.
• Demonstrate leadership in all aspects of the Moorhead CP department.
• Lead the development and deployment of a comprehensive strategic business plan in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives; including but not limited to annual department benchmarks and budget.
• Accountable for ensuring all RDO Equipment Co. policies and procedures are followed within the CP department.
• Coach and mentor the CP parts, service, and sales team members in how to sell new and used CWP equipment in an effort to turn inventory and maintain or exceed organization standards for margin and profitability.
• Verify and drive accountability around effective use of the service scheduling and Ewalk tools to properly manage the flow of the work order process to completion (customer, internal and warranty).
• Book trades and monitor the cost and retail pricing of the current used CP equipment inventory for all regions of RDO Equipment, ensuring accuracy for the current market.
• Work with regional sales management to monitor new and used CP equipment inventory to ensure assets are in saleable condition, ensuring that images and evaluations are properly recorded (all RDO regions).
• Track aged and under-utilized machines, and develop plans to move out unwanted inventory.
• Work with regional sales management to accurately place stock orders on CUTs, Turf & Utility Equipment with vendors in a timely manner (all RDO regions).
• Provides input to the Marketing Manager in the development of the whole goods marketing strategy for Fargo/Moorhead area.
• Use Company provided systems/tools (i.e. Sales Advantage) to assist or complete in the documentation, tracking, recording, follow up, and capture all related sales activity in a timely and accurate manner.
• Stay up to date on current manufacturing partners and/or vendor programs and financing.
• Ensure customer satisfaction. Work with all departments (parts, service and sales) to know the customer’s current and future expectations and work to resolve customer concerns.
• Ensure that appropriate communications take place throughout the location/s by facilitating/participating in monthly open-book meetings, conducting regular team meetings, encouraging an open-door policy, and proactively seeking feedback from team members.
• Foster an engaged work environment within the location/s, encouraging accountability, open communication, teamwork, and a commitment to serving the customer.
• Lead and manage all business and/or department activities related to ensuring the customer experience is positive and that all team members are committed to creating solutions and long term relationships with customers.
• Manage the evaluation, allocation, and management of physical and financial resources and administer the hiring, development/training, management, evaluation, and effective assignment of people resources.
• Responsible for ensuring that sound and safe business practices and processes are implemented and continuously improved to effectively and efficiently achieve ethical business objectives.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
• Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
