Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Layout Fitters for projects located in and around Fountain Valley, CA.  This is a full time opportunity with a pay range of $25-33/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Layout Fitter and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

 

Job Scope:

Production of Stairs, Handrails, and Custom Steel ComponentsAccurately Measure, Mark, and Layout Steel Components in Preparation for Cutting, Shaping, and Welding to meet Project SpecificationsOperate Equipment such as Saws, Grinders, and Torches to Fabricate Steel StructuresEnsure the Accuracy of Projects from Start to FinishWork Closely with Welders, Fabricators, and Supervisors to Ensure Project Timelines and Goals are MetTroubleshoot and Resolve Issues during the Fabrication and Assembly ProcessOther Duties as Assigned

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 Years Proven Experience as a Layout Fitter or in a Similar Role within the Steel Fabrication IndustryExtensive Knowledge of Blueprint Reading, Layout Design, and Metal Fabrication ProcessesSkilled in Operating Fabrication EquipmentFamiliarity with Welding Processes, IE: MIG, TIG, Stick Welding is a PlusExcellent mathematical, Spatial, and Mechanical AptitudeAble to Lift Heavy Materials and Stand for Extended Periods
