Job Description

Operate LC instrumentation equipped with conventional, MS, and MS/MS detection, HR-MS/MS Orbitrap or TOF detectors. Provide analytical services and results accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner to clients. Analyze samples using LC and GC with conventional, MS, MS/MS, and other detection techniques. Propose improvements and stabilize analytical processes. Perform extractions and sample analysis as per documented methods and Standard Operating Procedures. Troubleshoot issues with analytical procedures and perform routine, preventative maintenance, verification, and calibration of analytical instrumentation. Routinely analyze, which includes screening, quantitation, and reporting, of large-scale pesticide panels.

ResponsibilitiesOperate LC instrumentation equipped with conventional, MS, and MS/MS detection, HR-MS/MS Orbitrap or TOF detectors.Provide analytical services and results accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner to clients.Analyze samples using LC and GC with conventional, MS, MS/MS, and other detection techniques.Propose improvements and stabilize analytical processes.Perform extractions and sample analysis as per documented methods and Standard Operating Procedures.Troubleshoot issues with analytical procedures and perform routine, preventative maintenance, verification, and calibration of analytical instrumentation.Routinely analyze, which includes screening, quantitation, and reporting, of large-scale pesticide panels.Essential SkillsExperience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Liquid Chromatographic instrumentation.Experience routinely analyzing and producing data packages for small and larger data sets.Analytical and extraction method troubleshooting, development, and optimization.Knowledge of analytical instrumentation and data analysis software packages such as: Analyst, Sciex OS, Multiquant, Tracefinder, Chromeleon, or equivalent.Sample preparation, extraction, and general bench chemistry techniques.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science from a four-year college or university.3+ years of analytical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.Work Environment

Fast-paced analytical laboratory with a schedule from 9:00am to 5:30pm. Designated free parking downtown. Although not guaranteed, bonuses have been paid out for the last 10 years, valued at about a month’s salary, prorated for employees joining part-way through the year.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $58240.00/yr.
